Program Description

Student participants will study sociological perspectives on race, class, gender, sex, age, and other concepts from a Bolivian–and mainly indigenous Andean–perspective. Students will contrast rural and urban lifestyles, indigenous and non-indigenous populations, and will learn about the ways of life of various communities within Bolivia. Students will expand on their classroom learning through guest lectures and local site visits.
