Locations: Rome, Sorrento, and Tuscania, Italy

Prerequisites: WR 115 and RD 115 or IRW 115 and MTH 20 or equivalent placement

Program Type: Capstone (culminating project or experience that supports the learning outcomes of a term course taken at PCC)

Program Description

Discover the tools historians use to reconstruct the past, and recreate a week in the life of an inhabitant of an ancient Roman city.

Program Highlights:
  • Visit necropolis of Cerveteri and Tarquinia in the Tuscania area
  • Explore the famous Pantheon, Colosseum and Roman Forum, and National Etruscan Museum – Villa Giulia in Rome
  • Learn from the experts and then enjoy your labor in a group cooking class
  • Delve into ancient civilizations during a guided tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum in Naples
