Program Description

Earn summer credits comparing Africa and America’s history of racism and studying the nuances of Apartheid and South African History.

Program Highlights

Explore the Nelson Mandela Gateway and Robben Island to learn more about the former South African president as well as the Castle of Good Hope as the oldest surviving building in South Africa.
Visit the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa, the Anti-Racism Network and the Desmond Tutu Peace Center to understand the current national affairs
In Johannesburg, visit Constitutional Hill and Liliesleaf Farm, important heritage sites which played a role in South Africa’s journey to democracy
